Beneath this twisting oak
Brambles take Daylights Rays
Blood runs through my smile
As my crown becomes my noose

With severed wings, I rebelled
Taken by will to defy
Souless and lost in the void
I chose beneath black skies

These brambles wrench, unheeding
Laments and words of loss
Tighten to pull me downward
I crumble, returning to earth

Hanging
from dreams of life
Drifting
On barbed reprisals
Leaving in silence
And yet unturned
I choose to burn

I cull myself
Waited for this
So endlessly
Now I join the past
Where suffering ends

My lifeless corpse, now sleeping
Wretched flesh of failure
Upon the earth, resting
Beneath the twisted oak

Existance fades, now rotting
As Nature takes her claim
All turn to dust, in the end
Yet now I am content
